Summary of the Dutch post "About this weblog"
This weblog is aimed at people who want to get a start on Microsoft SQL Server 2005 based on Microsoft's free E-Learning.
Why this posting (I have little time, Hans caught me on surprise, launching the weblog as soon as yesterday...).
Some reasons for this log;
- MS Cert-program changed for SQL Server 2005, Visual Studio 2005 and BizTalk Server 2006
- First exam (and certification) for SQL Server available end of Jan, early Feb.
- ILT (Instructor-Led Training) from MS starts becoming available mid-March).
And I just know people want to get going with the product or prepare for the first exam, and all Microsoft has available is the E-Learning content.
Two useful links for now;
SQL Server 2005 Feature Pack (makes you wonder if everything made it to the RTM ;-))
Microsoft wants your feedback about your experience getting to know their server products from non-NorthAmericans.
The teaser, I'll try to post something about the beta exam 70-431 and not to violate the non-disclosure agreement by the end of this month (with these restrictions, I hope there will be something left to post ;-))

It's a good thing to see a company like Tulip (or the IT dept. of it) use a powerful tool like a weblog to support presentations. Having some sort of online data archive is a great resource to have, and I'm sure you'll find it coming in very handy many times. Welcome in the blogosphere and good luck !

A powerful tool indeed, but with many challenges as well. My first idea wasn't that of using it as an on-line archive, more like a primer and follow up tool for courses.
The general trend I spot, is that people need to be more flexible and productive and weblogs can be a great tool in just achieving that.
